At CBM Marine, our mission is to centralise boat maintenance by providing comprehensive technical management and support for yacht owners and operators. We handle the office-based aspects of yacht maintenance, including planning, scheduling, record keeping, procurement, reporting and technical consultancy, allowing crews to focus on day-to-day operations.
CBM Marine was founded on a simple observation: the engineering standards and structured maintenance systems that keep 60-metre superyachts operating at the highest level are rarely seen on vessels under 24 metres.
This isn’t because those standards aren’t needed. It’s because they have never been effectively transferred to the smaller yacht market.
Our goal is to bridge that gap by bringing superyacht-level technical management, organisation and expertise to vessels of every size, helping owners protect their investment, improve reliability and maintain the highest standards of safety and performance.

On board, the work is done by crew. We tell them what needs doing and why — the procedure, the sequence, the checks that matter — and we review the result before it’s signed off as complete.
Quotes, parts, service records, planning the next window — it’s most of a working week, and it’s the part that quietly eats a small crew or an owners time. We take it off the boat, so what’s left on board is the work that actually needs doing.
We hold the technical record. Drawings updated when a system changes, so the next person to open a panel is looking at what’s actually behind it. Work reviewed against the relevant standards before it’s accepted. Every job on the schedule tracked through to completion, with a note of what was done and why.
On a small yacht, that record usually lives in one person’s head. When they leave, it leaves with them — the half-finished job nobody logged, the temporary fix that became permanent, the reason a valve was left shut. The next crew inherit a boat they have to learn from scratch, and the owner pays for that learning twice.
We keep the memory ashore. Crew change; the record doesn’t.
CBM Marine started with a simple observation: the engineering standards that keep a 60-metre yacht running are nowhere to be found on a 25-metre. Not because they don’t apply. Because nobody has transferred them. Our engineers are licensed and built their careers on large yachts and merchant ships, where planned maintenance systems and full service histories are standard practice — and where an experienced engineer knows a machine’s condition before it fails. Smaller vessels run the same engines, the same generators, the same systems, with none of that structure behind them. Owners pay yard rates for faults that could have been caught months earlier.
