The Platform

Planned Maintenance, Built Around Your Yacht

A planned maintenance system, or PMS, is the schedule and the record behind a yacht’s upkeep: what is due, when, who is doing it and what was done last time. CBM Marine’s platform gives owners, captains and crew one place for all of it, supported by our team ashore for yachts up to 30 metres.

What A Yacht Planned Maintenance System Should Do

  • Schedule every task by the calendar, by running hours, or both.
  • Tell the owner, the crew and the manager what needs doing and when, so nothing depends on memory.
  • Keep one record of every job: what was done, when, by whom and with which parts.
  • Track spare parts, certificates and renewals alongside the maintenance.
  • Put a summary of outstanding tasks or expiring certificates one click away.

Calendar And Running-Hours Triggers

Some tasks fall due by date, such as certificates and annual services. Others fall due by engine running hours, such as oil and filter changes. The platform handles both. Engine running hours can be integrated, so that every time an engine starts its hours update and the next service is called up at the right time.

An Auditable History

Every job is logged with what was done, when and by whom, in a record that can be audited. For a surveyor, a buyer or an insurer it is evidence of how the yacht has been looked after, and it supports the vessel’s value at sale.

Technician Logins, Approved Before They Count

Technicians can have their own logins. Anything they log or change is sent for approval first, and goes into the record only once it has been signed off. The history stays trustworthy.

A System Is Only As Good As Its Data

A planned maintenance system that nobody updates is just an archive. We load the vessel’s manuals and maintenance history, build the schedules around the equipment actually on board, and keep the record current with the crew. Your data stays your vessel’s property.

Who It Is For

Owners who want to see what is being done and what it costs, captains who want the planning and the paperwork off their desk, and crews who need the right procedure in front of them when something fails.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a planned maintenance system on a yacht?

It is the schedule and record of everything that needs doing on a vessel: services, inspections, certificates and repairs. A good one tells the owner, the crew and the manager what is due and keeps a history of what was done.

Can maintenance be triggered by engine running hours?

Yes. Tasks can fall due by running hours, by the calendar, or both. Engine running hours can be integrated, so that they update every time an engine starts.

Can the crew log work without changing the record unchecked?

Yes. Technicians can have their own logins, and what they log or change is sent for approval before it enters the record.

Who owns the maintenance data?

The vessel does. Your data stays your vessel’s property and can be exported whenever you want it.

Do you set the system up for us?

Yes. Give us the vessel’s manuals and any maintenance history, and we build them into a system specific to your vessel.
